Kimbery and VW266H
I use Asus VW266H monitor for basic business functions plus basic photo and video editing. it does everything extremely well for a very, very inexpensive monitor. having the extra 10 percent height over a 1920x1080 makes a huge difference in editing documents and photos (remember that after the frame around the application window and the menus and all, you lose a lot of real estate. the extra 10 percent on this monitor is in working area, so it's more significant than it sounds-you can edit a complete page of a word document.) also, the width is the same as a 23 inch monitor, so it's a manageable size. it's very bright, the colors are saturated and seem quite natural. video is absolutely smooth. i do not use it for games, so i can't comment on that. a lot of reviews note that this monitor isn't up to some gold standard unit costing two to three times as much. that's not a meaningful comparison. compared to other monitors in its price range, it is a very solid performer. oh, and I had no dead pixels on Asus VW266H, it came with a full compliment of cables, and it has an extremely innocuous, almost invisible, look. no frills, just a good amount of very good real estate in the right shape.
